Congrats you are now on Day 5…so you have now made it half way through the Zhan Zhuang training course.
This is not a small accomplishment!
On day five you will now be learning the third posture in the Baduanjin qigong set which is called “Separate Heaven and Earth” this posture is said to help regulate -balance- the spleen and stomach organs and system in our bodies.
Today you will learn the third posture in the Zhan Zhuang set which is called “holding the balloon in front of your face”. As you can kind of guess the name implies what this posture will be. This posture can be tough on some people…especially if they have shoulder problems. Just take it slow only do as much as is comfortable. The more you practice the more you joints and energy gates will open up.
We end today with the cool down exercises you have learned in the past.
Here is the tips from the video:
• Each position is a progression from the last, so work up to about 20 minutes in each posture before moving onto the next.
• Make sure to warm up before, and relax after, each exercise.
• When your stamina has improved, try standing for 5 minutes each in all 5 positions. It’s hard work, so please be patient and do stop if you feel faint or too hot!
