Today we move onto Day 2 of the Zhan Zhuang training course. Yestarday you leared the philosphy of Zhan Zhuang and also the warm ups, principals of posture, and cool down. Technically the first video is all you truly need to progress in standing meditation…but it’s always fun to learn new postures and qigong forms.
In day 2 you will learn another warm up along with the first posture which is called Wu Chi posture and the cool down set. You will also see that they want you to now bring your awareness to you breath. Not to change anything with it but just bring awareness to it.
In these videos you will also learn the principles of standing which are invaluably for correct learning and practice of Zhan Zhuang.
Here is some tips from the video
“• Each position is a progression from the last, so work up to about 20 minutes in each posture before moving onto the next.
• Make sure to warm up before, and relax after, each exercise.
• When your stamina has improved, try standing for 5 minutes each in all 5 positions. It’s hard work, so please be patient and do stop if you feel faint or too hot!”
